SAN FRANCISCO & BAY AREA
ELOPEMENT
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY

San Francisco Photography Locations

Elopements are deeply personal, and your day should feel like it was designed just for you. Whether you’re exchanging vows on a mountaintop, in the desert, or somewhere meaningful to your story, we work with you to customize every detail and choose a location that reflects who you are. Here you can see some of our popular locations. For more ideas, see our guide to the best San Francisco and Bay Area wedding photo locations.

The Palace of Fine Arts

The Palace of Fine Arts is a historic landmark with a stunning backdrop, perfect for both private ceremonies (up to 250 guests) and intimate gatherings. You can bring a small group and choose any spot to exchange your vows. For a private ceremony, a reservation is required inside the rotunda.

Crissy Field & Baker Beach

Crissy Field and Baker Beach are both in the Presidio, close to the Golden Gate Bridge. Crissy Field is a restored former Army airfield on the San Francisco Bay shoreline, with beaches, lawns and wide views of the bridge. Baker Beach is a mile-long beach on the west side of the Golden Gate, below rugged cliffs, with the bridge, the Marin Headlands and Lands End in view. Both are lovely for portraits on your wedding day, and you can also exchange vows there with the bridge as your backdrop. They’re managed by the National Park Service, so check whether your ceremony needs a permit. Good to know: the northern end of Baker Beach is clothing-optional.

Muir Woods

Muir Woods is one of the most magical Northern California photography locations, towering redwoods, soft filtered light, fern-covered trails, and that moody coastal fog that makes everything feel cinematic. It’s perfect for couples who want a quiet, nature-forward look that still feels timeless. Plan ahead: Muir Woods requires parking reservations, and there’s no cell service nearby, so download your reservation before you go.

The Sutro Baths

The Sutro Baths are the concrete ruins of a grand public bathhouse that Adolph Sutro built in the 1890s at Lands End, just north of the Cliff House. A fire in 1966 destroyed what remained, and today the ruins, sea cliffs and Pacific waves are part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. It’s a dramatic, moody setting for elopement portraits, especially when the fog rolls in.
